Car cake is so easy to make and tastes fantastic. To make this cake, I used a simple 8-inch chocolate vanilla wipe cake. This cake can be made with just one layer. As my whipping cream wasn’t stable, I used Swiss Meringue Buttercream. The buttercream is also delicious and will not lose its shape.
This cake was made for my son’s third birthday celebration for the second time. I made a similar Blue Car Cake for his most memorable Birthday. Since a young age, my child has been obsessed with cars. I think he’s fixated on cars. He uses the word Car at least ten to twenty times a day.
For this reason, I decided to make the cake again to celebrate his third Birthday. He was thrilled to see it, and the cake made him “Decent” in an exciting way.

Swiss Buttercream
1. Place a steel bowl over stewing water. Avoid letting the bowl touch the water. The egg whites and sugar should be cooked until foamy, with sugar granules breaking up.
2. Whip the mixture into solid tops when still warm. Let it cool to room temperature, or chill briefly before adding margarine in small steps. Whip until all is incorporated.
3. Add the salt and quintessence, and whip on medium until you reach a pliable consistency. Keep some frosting uncolored to layer car cake between the cake layers and as a breadcrumb coating. Add the food gels at the end in discreet dishes. I utilized Dr Oatekar’s Yellow, Purple, and Green gel tones.
4. If the icing begins to soften, refrigerate it. It could become hard if you store it for a long or short time period. Bring it up to room temperature before using it. For a smooth finish, whip it up again just before using it.
The Car Cake
1. I made an 8-inch Chocolate Margarine cake using the Hot milk method and the ingredients listed previously. Soon, I will post the entire recipe. I did not record the cake recipe as I had to use up my time for my birthday.
2. In the 8-inch cake, make a delicate cross. The 8-inch round cake is cut in the same way on both sides. Place both sides on the centerpiece to see how they fit.
3. Cut the edges of top layers into the shape of the Front and Back Mirrors.
4. Trim the Headlights’ edges
5. If possible, cut a slight bend on the edges.
6. Apply the icing to the base layer after slicing it in half.
Spread icing over the top two layers. Spread a light frosting over the entire cake. It is best to refrigerate it for a few minutes.
Use the star-shaped spouts to place the icing into various funneling bags. Below is the link to Amazon, where you can purchase this spout set.
Use a toothpick to stamp the lines of the headlights and mirrors. Use a cutout to make the wheels.
First, the white, uncolored icing is applied to the entire car and the headlights.
The excess car can be painted Yellow. Fill empty spaces with florets, stars, or a combination of both.
Use the Purple color for the wheel’s external circle, front cap, and the front cap. Use any other topic that you want. I chose purple because my son wore a lavender coat and a yellow shirt for his Birthday. I thought the car should match his outfit.
Apply Green to the inner circle of the wheel. To simplify the process, Oreos can be used as wheels.
For the headlights and mirrors, use a channeling bag filled with purple icing and a small slice as a tip. My hands weren’t consistent, so I didn’t work very hard.
Oreos were used to create the eyes. I used the white cream in the treat to resemble gleaming eyeballs. If you want, you can use a dark chocolate ganache. I didn’t possess a dark gel tone, so I used the treats.
I used white chocolate to make the Name Letters Block. I used a purple gel tone blended with oil and then added it to the liquefied White Chocolate. If you already have sweet tones, there is no need to mix them with oil. The purple-tinted chocolate mixture should be placed in the silicone shape of the letters. Tap the silicone shape a few times to remove any air bubbles. It must be refrigerated until it is frozen. These letters were made not long after the cake was cut. They were more popular than the cake with my child.
I placed a flame on the top of the cake. The cake was finished when you put a few car stickers on the board.
I usually make cupcakes with matching themes, but on this particular day, I made a simple wipe cake and layered it with strawberry jam. I sprinkled some coconut pieces over the top and cut them into squares. I also added some car clinchers to them for decoration. These cupcakes were gone faster than they could be made.
