FITS Socks were a great product. There is no way that runners could ever have too many socks. No one, in truth, can ever have too many socks.
The brand FITS Socks
FITS introduced merino socks to the market in 2010, but Bob Yoe, their founder, spent most of his professional career managing factories that produced 1 million socks a day (yes – 1 million). In 25 years the industry has evolved. Bob decided to change the industry because he was not satisfied with what was being done. He and a friend set out to create the most comfortable and best socks.
Each FITS sock meets the highest standards. They invest in American Work and use the best materials. All FITS socks, therefore, are made in America.
FITS makes running socks, hiking, skiing, tactical, cycling, compression, etc.
FITS Socks:
FITS offers a variety of socks. There’s something for everyone, even if you aren’t a runner. I chose to test the no-show light socks and the hiking crew. When hiking, crew socks are essential because you don’t know what your ankles may brush against.
The socks have been designed to be invisible and won’t blend into your shoes. The socks have high-impact padding where it is needed and none where it is not.
Why is merino so special?
Preventing Odor: The natural properties of Merino Wool help to prevent odor, and keep germs out.
Preventing Feet from Overheating. Merino Wool naturally draws moisture away, helping to keep feet and shoes dry.
What Makes FITS Socks Unique?
The patented Full Contact Fit(r), which is a patented technology, conforms to the contours of the foot and keeps it in place. There are no loose socks and they will not fall into your shoe.
Toe and heel locks with high impact cushions
Materials:
Super-fine Merino Wool 73%
Nylon 21%
Polyester 4%
Lycra 2%
What I think of FITS Socks
I am always nervous when wearing merino sock. If you wear merino incorrectly, they can cause your feet’s temperature to rise. I have had some poor models in the past. As we move into the summer months in the Mojave desert, I want to avoid anything that will make my body overheat.
The socks are comfortable right away. The large FITS sock was the most comfortable for me. I wear women’s shoes in sizes 10-11. What more can I ask for? It fits perfectly and it hasn’t shrunk after washing.
Running in the FITS has not caused me any problems with breathability. I’m not worried about my feet becoming wet or overheating, even when the weather gets warmer. It hasn’t caused any blisters and I haven’t moved. Overall, the shoe fits and breathes very well. They fit and feel great. I’ve used them on several hikes between 5-10 miles.
They also smell much less than regular socks. You know how bad socks can smell if you’ve done a race in hot weather or humidity and removed your socks. These socks don’t.
The FITS socks are also very stylish. They have all the basics, like black, grey, and white, but also fun socks. The pair that I own has a cool tree-like hiker detail.
They are of high quality. They won’t shrink in the washing machine. Would that I didn’t have to worry about my clothes disappearing in the washing machine.
Cost: $15.99+
The price ranges from $15 to $35.99, depending on the type of sock. Compression socks are more expensive. They are generally the same price or slightly higher than other socks made of merino wool.
FITS Socks:
FITS Socks fit and feel great. They are comfortable to wear for hiking, running and everyday life. I have never had hot spots or blisters. Next, I will try more of their hiking sock. Summer months can be a bit unpredictable. You never know what kind of weird plants or critters you may come into contact with. I personally like to stay away from ticks. I love them and will continue to use.
